Manage Groups
Groups allow you to organize users together and to drive the information that appears to end users. Groups can be used in leaderboards, as prerequisites on missions, for filtering within web components and blocks, and for segmentation of analytics.
You can manage groups using groups APIs, with data import, or in the Group Management view. The method you use will typically depend on the number of groups you need to create or the number of users you need to add to a group. When creating your initial set of groups and adding users, using an API may be faster than using Nitro Studio.
Note: If you're storing attributes that will not be used by missions, you can use preferences instead of groups.

- Open Nitro Studio > Activity > Groups.
- Click the group you want to add the user to.
- Click Add User.
- Enter the user's name and select the user from the list.

Delete a Group
You cannot delete a group that is part of a mission. You must remove the group from the mission before deleting it.
If you delete and recreate a group, it has the same effect as resetting leaderboard data for that group. The group will have 0 points and start accruing from the time it was re-created.
- Open Nitro Studio > Activity > Groups.
- Hover over the group you want to delete.
- Click Delete().
- Confirm the deletion.
