Example: Reward Users That Receive a Specific Type of Recognition

The following steps describe how to reward users that receive a specific type of recognition. This example will show you how to create a hidden mission that awards users who receive 5 recognitions for Customer Commitment.

Get the Recognition Category

  1. Open Nitro Studio > Motivate > Recognitions.
  2. In the Exchange Categories column, find your recognition category. In our example, this is Customer Commitment.
  3. Copy or record the category name. Record the name exactly as shown with spaces.

Create the Mission

  1. Open Motivate > Missions > New > Mission.
  1. In the New Mission modal:
    1. In the Name field, enter Be recognized for customer commitment 5 times.
    2. In the Description field, enter Receive 5 recognitions for customer commitment.
    3. Click Save.

  1. On the Details tab:
    1. Select Hidden Mission (Surprise and Delight).
    2. Click Save.

  1. Click the Availability tab, select Repeatable Mission, and then click Save.
  2. On the Rules tab:
    1. Click New Rule.
    2. In the Select Rule Type modal, select Number of Actions, and then click Continue.
    3. In the number field, enter 5.
    4. In the Rule Description field, enter Receive 5 recognitions.
    5. Click New Action.
    6. In the Select Action field, enter the name of the action used for receiving recognition. In our example, this is RECEIVE_RECOGNITION.
    7. In the Name field, enter category.
    8. In the Value field, enter the category value you recorded from the previous section. In our example, this is Customer Commitment.
    9. Click Save.

Example Ruleset for Recognition

  1. On the Rewards tab:
    1. Click Add a reward.
    2. In the Reward Type field, select Points.
    3. In the Amount field, enter 25.
    4. Click Save.
    5. Click Add a reward.
    6. In the Reward Type field, select Badge.
    7. Click Upload Image, browse to and select an image, and then click Save.
